Automation Engineer
Overview
This role provides hands-on support for the installation, optimization, and maintenance of automation systems within the plant and lab. The position also contributes to training and documentation, including IQ / OQ / PQ validation procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Plant Automation team to implement and refine new automation equipment.
- Train technical staff on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and identify safety issues or service needs.
- Optimize automation processes for reliability and efficiency.
- Conduct adjustments and repairs as required to maintain peak performance.
Qualifications
Experience programming FANUC or ABB robots.Understanding of industrial systems (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, chilled water).Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.Knowledge of industrial safety practices and standards.Strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office).Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or engineering preferred.This plant is located about 1 hour outside of Dallas, TX
