Board Builder Freight & Cargo

Location : Des Plaines, IL

Pay : $18.50 / hour

Sign-On Bonus : $100 (after working 80 hours)

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Board Builders for a large, well-known logistics client in Des Plaines, IL to work in their Freight & Cargo Division. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced distribution environment and play a key role in shipping, receiving, inventory management, and specialized freight handling.

Shift Available :

  • 1st Shift (7am-3 : 30pm & 8am-4 : 30pm)

    • Responsibilities :

  • Operational execution for all warehouse services required of CH Robinson Customers
  • Following all SOPs and procedures
  • Building / netting PMCs
  • Pulling and labeling freight
  • Ensure all manifests, invoices, orders, shipping documentation, and forms are accurate
  • Communicate with Gateway and CCSF supervisors regularly
  • Assist with the screening process once able to do so
  • Know, understand, and follow all warehouse safety requirements
  • Unloading and if needed fixing or rebuilding any freight returned from the airline
  • Understand and comply with all TSA compliance regulations illustrated in the CCSP and IACSSP
  • Assist in maintaining recordkeeping requirements regulated by the TSA
  • Be knowledgeable and follow all policies and procedures
  • Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

    • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years building air boards and working in a CCSF
