Dental Assistant

Primary job is to assist doctors with treating dental patients. General knowledge of all dental instruments and procedures is necessary. Assistant must be knowledgeable with the sterilization and decontamination process utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the clinical processes. Assistant will be expected to provide an exceptional patient experience for new and existing clientele. General duties include but are not limited to, running exam columns, assisting with dental procedures, taking X-rays, taking oral photos, obtaining digital scans, and ordering. Also, have general knowledge and understanding of all specialties performed in the practice including but not limited to Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, and General Dentistry. Qualifications :

• Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not necessary.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• X-ray certification required
• 1-2 years experience in the dental field preferred
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, and DentalPros policies and practices)
• Coronal polish certification preferred but not required
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a superior knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor and patients
• Must have a warm friendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work within a team environment and lend support, as a team player, to teammates as needed and any other duties and responsibilities to be assigned
