League School for Autism is an award-winning, year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the autism spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking a HEAD TEACHER, SEVERE SPECIAL NEEDS PreK-8 , for our program in Walpole. Annual salary range is $62,000 to $69,500 depending on degree, license, and certification status. Licensed teachers are eligible for a $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS to be paid within 6 months. League School will help obtain required licensure for qualified candidates.

The program educates pre-k / elementary students with autism and related social communication challenges. The curriculum is based on the MA Curriculum Frameworks / Common Core Standards and modified to meet student needs. All classrooms are designed around student age, grade level and social communication needs, and are no larger than 8 students per classroom.

Position Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with current MA license in MODERATE Special Needs, and experience with Autistic Individuals preferred. Proof of MA DESE licensure required but will help obtain licensure if needed.
• Safety Care, CPR, and First Aid certifications. (League School will provide training).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass rigorous background checks, including nationwide fingerprint screening.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Google Suite (GMail, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Edge.
