About the Position

Saint Paul Regional Water Services (SPRWS) is looking to hire multiple individuals to assist with the Lead Free team and GIS Engineering team.

Heres what you can expect to do :

Lead Free Engineering Intern - 1 available position

Assist in efforts to identify plan and organize information to support the lead service line replacement program. This internship provides hands-on experience in water infrastructure management environmental health and public safety initiatives.

The primary duties and responsibilities include :

• Assist in the material identification of water service lines
• Monitor progress of ongoing lead service line replacement projects and provide regular updates
• Assist in public outreach and education efforts helping residents understand the importance of removing lead service lines from the system
• Contribute to the preparation of reports presentations and documentation for project tracking
• Conduct research and gather data on lead service line replacement practices and regulations

GIS Engineering Intern - 1 available position

Perform functions related to the operation of GIS and data applications for Saint Paul Regional Water Services. The intern will work under direct supervision on specific projects and on general GIS and data management projects. The majority of the time will be spent conducting updates to spatial data and performing database maintenance.

These positions will be in office 15-20 hours a week. Schedule is flexible and remote work is possible after a period of time.
