Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a CNC Programmer to join a pharmaceutical machine manufacturing company located in Branford, CT. This role will play a critical job in supporting the machine shop and production of complex, custom machines builds and programming functions. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, proficiency in interpreting blueprints, and the ability to work independently to achieve production goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include : -Develop and optimize programs for 5 axis CNC mills and CNC turning lathes using CAM software. -Review and improve existing programs to increase efficiency and product quality. -Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, and specifications to set up CNC machines according to the required production specifications. -Perform tests runs and make adjustments to ensure the programs produce parts meeting specifications and quality standards. -Maintain clear and accurate records of CNC operations and program modifications. -Communicate effectively with the production team and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. -Collaborate with design and production staff to solve machining or drawing issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to read and interpret prints (ISO First Angle Projection).
• Proficiency with G & M Coding or conversational controls
• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency with CAD / CAM software MasterCam preferred).
• Diploma or certification in CNC programming / machining or related field is strongly preferred.
