Behavioral Health Technician

Join Copa Health as a Behavioral Health Technician in Magna, Utah! Make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth and adolescents as a Behavioral Health Technician at Copa Health's 16-Bed Residential Clinic in Magna, Utah.

Pay range : $17-18hr / shift differentials : Swing $1 (3pm-11pm) and graveyard $1.50 (11pm-7am) needed. We have FT or PRN shifts available 1st shift (600am-300pm) / 2nd shift (230pm-1100pm).

  • Shift Differential Compensation for evening / overnight and weekend schedules

    • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Monitor the wellbeing of individuals served, ensuring a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
  • Assist in warming up food and distributing to individuals served
  • Working weekends / holidays
  • Assist and mentor individuals in daily living skills such as personal hygiene, budgeting, and community activities.
  • Support members in the self-administration of medication and maintain accurate records.
  • Transport members safely to and from their living environment and scheduled appointments.
  • Document clinical information timely and accurately in the member's clinical record.
  • Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to ensure positive member outcomes.

    • Qualifications :

  • Education : Minimum HS diploma / GED and 2-3 years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR an associate degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience : Minimum 6 months experience as a BHPP at Copa Health with demonstrated competency.
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Licensure : Valid state fingerprint clearance, Food handlers card, and ability to obtain TB and physical clearance before start date.
  • Driving Requirements : Valid Utah Driver's License with state minimum insurance coverage and ability to meet Copa Health's acceptable driving requirements.
  • Preferred : Experience working with multicultural and low socio-economic individuals.
