Instrumentation Technician

Job Description

• Install and verify sensors and data acquisition as required for vehicle and component tests including accelerometers, potentiometers and pressure / force transducers
• Operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, soldering iron and multi-meter
• Inspect, troubleshoot, fabricate and repair instrumentation to ensure they function and measure properly
• Utilize Data Acquisition System (DAS) and instrumentation to install required sensors and successfully collect required data as outlined in the test plan
• Install and extract crash test dummies from test vehicles
• Assist in performing ATD qualification, both test setup and execution
• Use defined procedures to disassemble, inspect, verify, and reassemble anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATDs)
• Provide technical support to team members
• Maintain safe working practices and environment always considering the safety of yourself and other employees
• Repair sensors as needed.
