Shipping & Receiving Specialist
We are seeking a capable, hands-on individual to independently own and operate our shipping department in a dynamic shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build custom wooden skids, crates, and boxes using hand and power tools
- Expertly package a wide variety of items (cardboard, pallets, crates, skids) with careful cushioning for maximum protection
- Interpret customer purchase orders and special shipping instructions accurately
- Coordinate with carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Maintain organized paperwork, labeling, and shipping records
- Operate forklift (training and certification provided)
- Assist with general shop labor and other physically demanding tasks as needed

Permanent, direct-hire position after successful 90-day introductory periodNo prior shipping experience required — we will train the right personDay shift : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM (40-hour weeks expected)Starting pay $17–$19 / hr, higher considered for strong experienceMorning break + 30-minute lunchThis is not a repetitive warehouse or forklift-only role — it’s a true craft-meets-logistics position for someone who enjoys variety, building, and taking full ownership of shipping done right.
