Purchasing Assistant
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our Purchasing Manager and project management team. This role is ideal for someone organized, communicative, and eager to contribute to daily operations. The Purchasing Assistant will handle a mix of purchasing coordination, customer service communication, and general office support to help keep projects running smoothly and on schedule.
Responsibilities :
- Assist the Purchasing Manager with daily purchasing activities, including preparing and following up on purchase orders.
- Monitor and respond to emails daily, ensuring timely communication with vendors, project managers, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to confirm delivery dates, lead times, and order status for materials purchased for their projects.
- Track incoming materials, address missing or delayed items, and help find quick solutions for urgent project needs.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and shipping updates.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and correspondence.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, ordering office supplies, scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Assist with travel and hotel bookings as needed.
- Collaborate with logistics and accounting departments to support efficient operations.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $23.55 - $29.80 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
