Job Description :

As a Public Relations Assistant at Capital NYC, you will support our public relations team in executing strategic communication plans, managing media relations, and enhancing our clients' public image. Your role will involve a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring smooth and effective PR operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in developing and implementing PR campaigns and strategies.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR activities.
  • Maintain and update media contact lists and databases.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, press conferences, and other media events.
  • Assist with social media content creation and management.
  • Support the PR team with research and market analysis.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and preparing presentations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital media trends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in public relations or a related field is a plus.
