Role Overview

The Product Engineer will support new product development, design improvements, manufacturability initiatives, and technical problem-solving across the full product lifecycle. You will collaborate with R&D, operations, manufacturing, and quality teams to design prototypes, validate concepts, and ensure product robustness. This role requires hands-on engineering capability, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support new product development activities from concept through commercialization.
  • Develop prototypes and perform feasibility testing of materials and designs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure smooth production handoffs.
  • Maintain and manage engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
  • Support testing, validation, and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Troubleshoot product issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for design, cost, and process improvements.
  • Provide cross-functional engineering support to internal teams and customer-facing groups.

    • Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in product design, R&D, or manufacturing engineering—preferably in medical devices.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
  • Experience working within regulated design environments (ISO 13485, FDA, etc.).

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or related engineering field.

    Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
