Position Summary

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with strong experience in psychiatric medication management, and a background working in both inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment settings. This role is fully telehealth-based, providing virtual psychiatric evaluations, follow-up appointments, and medication management for patients with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth.

Provide ongoing medication management and treatment planning.

• Monitor patient progress, response to treatment, and potential side effects.

Manage patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Follow CA state / federal regulations and organizational protocols.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in California.

Valid DEA registration

Minimum 2 years’ experience in psychiatric medication management.

Experience working in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health or substance use treatment settings.

Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote care delivery.

Strong communication, diagnostic, and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills

Experience with MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for substance use disorders.

Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care.

Comfortable managing high-acuity or complex psychiatric cases.
