Job Title : Senior Cognos Developer / BI Developer (Cognos) Designation : Senior Data Analyst Location - Alpharetta, GA ( 5 Days onsite mandatory) JD : Microsoft PowerBI Senior Technical Lead Job Summary This position entails leading technical teams in the design, development, and implementation of Microsoft PowerBI solutions and utilizing SQL databases. The Senior Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, ensuring technical excellence, and driving innovation in data visualization using Microsoft PowerBI. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead and manage technical teams to deliver high-quality microsoft powerbi solutions within specified timelines. 2. Develop and implement powerbi dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to meet business requirements. 3. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for powerbi projects. 4. Optimize sql databases and queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage. 5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on powerbi best practices and sql optimization techniques. 6. Troubleshoot and debug powerbi solutions and sql databases as needed. 7. Stay updated on latest trends in powerbi and sql to recommend and implement innovative solutions. Skill Requirements : 1. Proficient in microsoft powerbi for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. 2. Strong expertise in sql for database design, optimization, and querying. 3. Experience in leading technical teams and managing project deliveries. 4. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present technical solutions effectively. 5. Problem-solving aptitude with a keen attention to detail. 6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities efficiently. Certifications : Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Data Management and Analytics is preferred but not mandatory. Exp : 8 - 12 yrs Cognos : 8 - 10 Years experience Skill (Primary) : Data Fabric-Self-Service BI-Microsoft PowerBI Other details : Develop and maintain reports : Design, build, and manage reports, dashboards, and data models using Cognos tools like Report Studio and Query Studio. Gather and analyze requirements : Work with business users to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications and reporting solutions. Write and optimize queries : Create and maintain SQL queries to retrieve and validate data from various databases. Collaborate with teams : Partner with data warehouse teams, business analysts, and other developers to ensure data availability and successful project delivery. Provide support : Offer technical support and training to end-users, and assist with performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Ensure data integrity : Validate data accuracy and work with database administrators to maintain data quality.
