Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant for a full-time role supporting METECS’ Accounting team. This position involves applying financial regulations—including Cost Accounting Standards and GAAP—to company processes, policies, and procedures. Under the guidance of the senior accountant, this candidate will help maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and contribute to various accounting functions.

This position will play a key role in daily accounting operations and financial analysis, supporting the Senior Accountant with the following responsibilities :

• Record and summarize financial transactions, update the general ledger, and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions
• Assist with bank reconciliations to help identify and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and general ledger account analysis
• Prepare and analyze financial information in accordance with GAAP and other applicable  regulations and accounting standards
• Contribute to daily accounting processes including journal entries

Assist with monthly analysis of revenue, expenses, and budget variances across departments

Required Qualifications :

Desired Qualifications :    Familiarity with government contracting processes

Citizenship or lawful permanent resident required due to federal position.
