Role Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
Drive the tax accounting close process, ensuring timely data gathering and reporting.
Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and international tax returns, including foreign GAAP returns.
Complete specialized tax projects such as R&D tax credits, Section 174, and Section 382 analyses.
Prepare forecasted income taxes and analyze cash tax payments.
Manage income tax audits and respond effectively to notices from tax authorities.
Assist in implementing transfer pricing and tax planning optimization strategies.
Collaborate with business teams to enhance systems and processes.
Advocate for tax interests across the organization and engage with leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA license and / or MST in Tax preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in public accounting or the internal tax department of a U.S. multi-state corporation.
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, SEC disclosure standards, and U.S. GAAP.
In-depth understanding of U.S. and international sales and use tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail, with outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively apply rules to practical scenarios.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
High ethical standards and the capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
Experience with taxation of SaaS is a plus.
Familiarity with Workday (or other large ERP systems) and Avalara is preferred.
Compensation Statement
We are committed to a competitive, fair, and equitable compensation structure. This position offers a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between $139,000 and $209,000. The final offered salary will depend on various factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Typically, hiring at the top end of the range is not standard to ensure meaningful salary growth opportunities.
