This position will perform specialized work in supporting information technology equipment and systems for the business, research, and instructional functions of customers; will be a web applications developer for the Connected Health Applications and Interventions (CHAI) Core. This position is part of a small software development team developing and maintaining web solutions to support research projects and academic programs. This position will be responsible for application and framework development of interactive web systems, and development of projects from early requirements gathering through testing and deployment. The person will be expected to write software code to specification within standard browser technologies (Laravel, SQL, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), test code according to guidelines, manage version control, and document all work. The programmer for this position must be able to provide stable, complex, and secure code independently; and develop code that is cross-browser compatible for desktop, tablet, and mobile phone experiences; develop with an intent for modular component reuse.
