Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent cath lab experience and current ARRT or RCIS certification.
Responsibilities
Acute care hospital setting in the cardiac catheterization labUnit consists of 1 suite / lab with an average of 1-3 cases per dayPatient population includes adult inpatients and outpatients with CAD, AMI, and other cardiac conditionsProcedures performed include left heart catheterizations, stent placements, ICD and pacemaker proceduresUses Epic EMR and equipment such as Siemens cath, Siemens Sensis, Apollo, and Phillips IVUSShift is 8 hour days from 0730 to 1600 with scheduled callCall required 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month, rotating holiday call; call team covers 3 campuses with a 30-minute response time to home campusFloating to Lakeside and Immanuel campuses in Omaha as neededHospital-supplied scrubs are requiredDuties include scrubbing to assist physicians, case monitoring, and documentationOrientation will be provided at each of the three campuses, typically 1-3 days per locationA supervisor is present in the lab to support the teamFirst-time travelers will be considered for this positionMust comply with the 50-mile living radius rule as determined by driver's licenseScrubs are supplied by the hospitalRotating holiday coverage is requiredDriver's license is necessary to confirm eligibility and response time requirementsRequirements
Minimum 1 year of recent cath lab experience requiredCurrent ARRT or RCIS certification requiredCurrent BLS (AHA) certification requiredProficiency in assisting with left heart caths, stent placement, ICD, and pacemaker proceduresExperience using Epic EMR, Siemens cath, Sensis, Apollo, and Phillips IVUS equipment preferredDriver's license required for consideration to verify compliance with the 50-mile radius ruleMust provide two professional references as specifiedArtificial fingernails are prohibited for patient care areasMust not be currently or recently (within 1 year) employed directly by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilityBenefits
