About the program :
Our innovative General Insurance Apprentice Program allows participants to simultaneously gain their first-time higher education and the experience to launch a rewarding career in commercial insurance.
Remotely Apprentices will support our F&I Claims Shared Services Team with :
- Engaging with both internal business partners and external customers through various communication channels, including phone calls, to ensure effective and timely communication.
- Processing billing for Enterprise Rental Car (ERAC) reservations using the ARMS system.
- Preparation and sending cancellation letters for Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) coverage.
- Sorting and routing incoming GAP mail to appropriate claims teams, updating files as required.
- Monitoring and managing the Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) Outstanding Report by voiding and reissuing expired credit card entries and supporting other payment-related tasks.
- Assist with various administrative duties to ensure smooth team operations.
Earn & Learn :
The two-year program offered in the Midwest combines targeted virtual coursework at Harper Community College with relevant work rotations at Zurich North America’s Overland Park, KS, Schaumburg, IL or remote office. The ideal candidate is seeking a first-time associate degree and has minimal college credits completed.
Apprentices who successfully complete this two-year program will :
Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at Zurich Work 3x a week, School 2x a week, paid for all 40 hours / weekEarn a tuition-free Associate in Applied Science degree in : Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance (Virtually at Harper College)Receive a Department of Labor Certificate of ApprenticeshipPossess credentials and skills for today’s ever-changing marketplaceBasic Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Professional work experience not required.Must be enrolled and validated as college ready by Harper Community College Admissions. This is a separate application process that can take place concurrently to Zurich's application process.Preferred Qualifications :

The proposed hourly rate for this position is $19.24, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
