Lead Estimator / Preconstruction will :

• Manage the bid process beginning with receiving the lead thru the execution of the contract.
• Facilitate the project turnover to the Operations Team in an intentional, comprehensive and timely manner.
• Support and at times lead business development efforts in order to support growth.
• Assign responsibilities, target areas of improvement and training, and supervise the performance of the junior Estimators.
• Read and fully comprehend the construction documents (plans & specs) and the implications on project planning and general conditions / requirements.
• Research items and price products through multiple vendors.
• Manage several activities / projects at once, organize and prioritize work.
• Define scopes of work for construction trades and prepare subcontract bid packages.
• Complete estimates by deadlines.
• Present to groups in person and via conference calls.
• Procure and track relevant bid information.
• Negotiate bid prices with subcontractors to include assisting Operations with the buyout.
