Job Title : Material Handler Job Description

The Material Handler / Receiving Associate is responsible for efficiently receiving, inspecting, and organizing raw materials, components, and finished goods for a fencing manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely material flow to production, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders.
• Inspect materials for damage or defects and report discrepancies.
• Accurately record received materials in the inventory system.
• Maintain organized storage areas for raw materials and finished goods.
• Safely move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Stage materials for production according to work orders.
• Complete receiving logs and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate shortages, overages, or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials when applicable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
