Electrodiagnostics Technician - Exercise Test Lab

PeaceHealth is seeking an Electrodiagnostics Technician (Treadmill) - Exercise Test Lab for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $24.60 - $38.42. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Assists the physician and / or nurse in performing exercise stress testing on the patient.

Essential Functions

Assists the physician and / or nurse with stress testing.

Performs scanning and analysis of ambulatory rhythm monitors.

Processes transtelephonic event-recording data.

Interprets and edits EKG data. Reports test results.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma Preferred : or equivalent

Experience

Minimum of 1 year Preferred : in similar position and

Required : Successful completion of arrhythmia identification program or able to pass an EKG rhythm identification test before date of hire and

Preferred : Background in cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and electrophysiology

Minimum of one-year recent treadmill testing experience preferred.

Credentials

Required : Basic Life Support and

Preferred : Certified Cardiographic Technician

Working Conditions

Lifting

Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and / or devices (NIOSH).

Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.

Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.

Frequent reaching / bending / squatting / kneeling / grasping.

Lift / Carry : Frequently up to 15 lbs. Occasionally up to 20 lbs.

Push / Pull : Frequently up to 20 lbs. force. Occasional up to 30 lbs. force.

Environmental Conditions

Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.

Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Time spent on site in medical / hospital setting.

Mental / Visual

Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
