ERP Technical Lead Engineer

Job Title: ERP Technical Lead Engineer Location: Athens, Georgia Experience: 12+ Years Employment Type: Contract Interview Type: In-Person or Webcam Job Description We are looking for an experienced ERP Technical Lead Engineer who can guide end-to-end technical design, customization, integration, and support for enterprise ERP platforms. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on solution development, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable ERP solutions. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture Lead the technical design, architecture decisions, and development strategy for ERP implementations and enhancements. Define coding standards, development methodologies, and quality guidelines. Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions. Development & Customization Build, customize, and optimize ERP modules using appropriate development tools and frameworks. Create and modify workflows, scripts, integrations, and interfaces. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to performance and security standards. Integration & System Management Manage integration of ERP systems with third-party applications and internal enterprise systems. Troubleshoot data flow, API issues, middleware integrations, and interface failures. Oversee system upgrades, patches, and migration activities. Team Collaboration & Support Mentor and guide technical developers and junior engineers. Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and project managers to deliver seamless solutions. Provide Tier-3 technical support, resolving complex system issues and performance bottlenecks. Project Execution Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, sprint planning, and delivery timelines. Ensure all deliverables meet quality, scalability, and compliance requirements. Support testing processes including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Required Skills and Qualifications Primary Technical Skills Strong proficiency in ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar enterprise systems. Expertise in ERP customization, development frameworks, scripting languages, and backend configuration. Deep knowledge of API integrations, REST/SOAP services, middleware, and data transformation. Core Qualifications 12+ years of hands-on technical ERP engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments. Proven experience as a Technical Lead guiding development teams. Strong understanding of ERP architecture, database structures, and security configurations. Proficiency in SQL development, performance tuning, and database optimization. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and development best practices. Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Experience Exposure to cloud-based ERP solutions (AWS, Azure ERP integrations Experience with enterprise mobility, analytics, or reporting tools connected to ERP systems. Prior experience working in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments.
