Job Description :
Under guidance of OPCO Quality Assurance Supervisor, assists in the development and implementation of the OpCo's Food Safety Plan (FSP) and Quality Assurance programs. Creates, reviews, and implements policies and procedures with the assistance of the OpCo QA Supervisor to comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as additional certifying bodies including but not limited to : Organic Programs, Kosher Programs, B Corporation Certification, and GFSI certified auditing programs (i.e. SQF). Performs Quality Assurance and Food Safety verification and monitoring activities. Assists in generating monthly reports to OpCo Management to discuss process flow and improvements to operations and facilities. Signs off on daily production paperwork and releases finished goods upon approval. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Manage the implementation of the current Food Safety Plan for the OpCo. Assist OpCo QA Supervisor with modifying the FSP to adhere to most recent edition of SQF Standards and prepare the facility to successfully achieve and maintain SQF Status.
Monitors all plant sanitation activities and allergen control. Performs and documents operational and preoperational inspections including daily swabbing.
Evaluate finished products and product labels for accuracy and compliance.
Monitors and documents Critical Control Points (X-Ray, Metal Detector, etc.).
Navigate the OpCo's ERP System to understand traceability audits and improve documenting systems for operations
Supervise associates including, but not limited to : training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
Consider Environmental and Social impact of the OpCo's actions and make decisions that reflect the OpCo's mission statement : The mission of Coda Coffee is simple : to set the standard for coffee excellence through education, sustainability, and partnerships.

Qualifications :
Associates / 2-year technical
0-6 Months
Ability to work independently as well as interact with other departments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
Ability to organize, prioritize and meet critical tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to accept changing work demands and seek opportunities to improve food safety systems.
Overnight travel; ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane or train.
Preferred qualifications :
Bachelors
1 3 Years
Prefer experience in Distribution Center Food Service Operations, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Food Production / Operations, Supply Chain, or related discipline
