Join to apply for the Patient Communication Center Specialist III-Baseline West role at Mountain Park Health Center.

The Patient Communication Specialist III (PCS III) is responsible for handling inbound and outbound phone calls, messages, and chats. Provides support to patients by explaining insurance eligibility options, billing statements, collecting past due balances, and scheduling medical appointments.

Essential Functions

  • Assists patients in understanding their health benefits options and explains eligibility criteria and the documentation required to apply for various insurance and benefit programs.
  • Assists new patients in registering with Mountain Park Health Center and verifies patient demographics, insurance information, and updates changes as needed.
  • Investigates and resolves patient questions regarding the amount owed to the business, explains the various payment options available, and collects payments.
  • Makes outbound phone calls to confirm medical and eligibility appointments.
  • Makes outbound phone calls pertaining to gaps in clinical care and scheduling medical appointments.
  • Responds to escalated/priority calls, questions, and inquiries.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance and adheres to daily schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of call Center experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle, financial counseling, or insurance verification.
  • 6+ months of experience in collections or a related financial field.
  • 1+ year experience using various call center software such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Telephony systems.
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish.
