Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Senior Software Engineer to join our high-performing development team. This role is ideal for a backend engineering expert with deep experience in database technologies and a strong track record of building and supporting data-intensive applications. You will play a critical role in designing scalable, high-performance solutions within our Phoenix system, leveraging a modern tech stack including Python, PySpark, PostgreSQL, and Airflow.

This is a strategic opportunity to influence architecture, optimize data workflows, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend and data systems.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data processing and application development.
• Demonstrated expertise in PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, time-sensitive production environments and client-facing data delivery.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and scalable system design.
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor peers, and adapt to evolving technical landscapes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Our Benefits

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range :  $76,500 - $130,000.  Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
