Compensation:$60 - $85 hourly based on billing
Responsibilities:- Use patient medical information, interviews, observation, and testing as well as collaboration with other staff members to determine a patient’s mental health status
- Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs
- Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient
- Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations for clients and their families
- Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to achieve treatment goals, reduce symptoms, and improve functioning
- Document care and consult with supervisors regarding care decisions on a regular basis
Qualifications:- Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field; preference to those with a master’s degree
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working as a mental health therapist
- Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed
- Independent licensure or close to sitting for exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etc
- Must have at least a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology
