Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible. Our ideal candidate holds a current LMHC license (licensed mental health counselor) and has 1-3 years of experience counseling mental health patients. $60 - $85 hourly based on billing

Responsibilities:

• Use patient medical information, interviews, observation, and testing as well as collaboration with other staff members to determine a patient’s mental health status
• Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs
• Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient
• Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations for clients and their families
• Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to achieve treatment goals, reduce symptoms, and improve functioning
• Document care and consult with supervisors regarding care decisions on a regular basis

Qualifications:

• Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field; preference to those with a master’s degree
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working as a mental health therapist
• Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed
• Independent licensure or close to sitting for exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etc
• Must have at least a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology
