Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a / an Lead Electrical Test Technician in USA Fontana Ca.

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Assistant Manager the Lead Electrical Test Technician is responsible for leading a team of employees in completing electrical testing of manufactured addition this role will complete complex electrical testing of products during the manufacturing process based on established testing procedures.

What a typical day looks like :

• Oversees the work of assigned team employees.
• Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to the supervisor.
• Assists with the planning and preparation of training for new team members.
• Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience.
• Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments
• Partners with supervisor or engineering manager to resolve any issues that arise within department.
• Monitors testing status daily; gathers feedback from all test technicians.
• Follow AC / DC schematics and wiring diagrams to perform testing of main electrical distribution AC / DC systems for power distribution control houses and panels.
• Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate efficient and timely execution of required testing work
• Be able to troubleshoot assembly wiring and testing problems
• Performs full functional testing on various circuits including HVAC system lighting receptacles fans fire alarm systems battery system and meggering of cables.
• Perform complete testing including current / voltage injections Hi-Potential Testing I / O checks and circuit breaker simulation testing on Relay Panels and Switchgear.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing with customer as required.
• Perform customer site visits to troubleshoot and resolve any field issues that may arise.
• Drafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings recommends modifications needed to correct production problems
• Perform other related duties as assigned
