Job Overview – Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Behavioral Health) :
Compensation : $35 – $38 / hour
Location : Camden County, NJ
Schedule : Monday to Friday (9 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM or 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM)
Join our client’s outpatient behavioral health clinic in Camden County, NJ, as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. In this role, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning for adults with mental health and substance use disorders. You will manage a caseload, conduct intakes, and document all care in the Alleva EMR system while working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities as the Licensed Mental Health Therapist :
- Therapeutic Services : Provide individual, family, and group counseling, crisis intervention, and skill-building support.
- Intake & Assessment : Complete biopsychosocial evaluations and determine appropriate levels of care.
- Treatment Planning : Develop and update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and discharge planning.
- Clinical Documentation : Maintain timely, accurate records in the Alleva EMR system to ensure compliance.
- Care Coordination : Collaborate with providers, referral sources, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Program Support : Assist with group coverage, assessments, and additional clinical needs as assigned.
Qualifications for the Licensed Mental Health Therapist :
Education : Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Addictions, Psychology, or a related field required.Licensure : Active New Jersey licensure required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCADC); LAC, LSW, or CADC considered with appropriate supervision.Experience : 2-3 years of clinical experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, ideally serving culturally diverse populations.Technical Skills : Proficiency in electronic health record documentation (DAP notes), with familiarity in DSM-V, ASAM / NJSAM criteria, and Microsoft / Google platforms.Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in behavioral health, substance use treatment, and federal / state confidentiality regulations.Skills & Attributes : Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver compassionate, client-centered care in a fast-paced environment.Application Notice : Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
