Medical Biller

We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller for a client of ours that is a healthcare company based in Berkeley.

This is a contracted, full-time, possible temp to hire on position.

This position is NOT remote, it’s on-site.

The ideal candidate will be doing the following duties (may not be limited to) :

• Prepare, distribute and respond to all office correspondence
• Make phone calls to patients / doctors / insurance / billing companies
• Check / respond to voicemails throughout the day
• Enter accurate patient demographics / verify insurance coverage
• Post charges
• Obtain retro authorizations
• Collect / post / manage patient account
• Use ERA to process claims, submit clean claims to insurance
• Assist with preparation of patient statement, monthly closing
• Review delinquent accounts, process payments from insurance companies / patients
• Follow up on claims to see if its been accepted / denied
• Investigate rejected claims on the reason of denial
