We are seeking an experienced Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our team! This person performs basic food preparation tasks and assisting the Head Cook. They typically complete smaller responsibilities like cutting meat, mixing sauces, chopping vegetables, etc. Theyre responsible for cleaning their prep station and making sure its set up properly before the start of their shift. Theyll also stock the kitchen as needed. Line Cooks must regularly check the food prep and storage areas to ensure they dont violate any health codes or safety regulations
Duties and Responsibilities :
Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipmentPrepare food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacksPlate prepared foods based on Senior Chefs guidanceMaintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessaryFollow all food safety regulationsParticipate in daily kitchen opening and closing proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned by the head chef or managementEnsure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulationsQualifications :
Previous experience in a similar role is preferredServeSafe or Food Handlers CertificationCompletion of vocational school or a two year associate degreeAdvanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipesAbility to remain calm and thrive under pressureExcellent time management skillsAbility to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
