Home Health Speech Therapist

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full Time or Per Diem Speech Therapist to provide in-home healthcare services. As an In-Home Health Care Speech Therapist, you will work directly with individuals of all ages who have communication or swallowing disorders in the comfort of their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and provide tailored treatment to improve their communication and swallowing skills. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to develop personalized treatment plans and ensure the highest quality of care for your clients.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Speech Therapist, preferably in a home healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for speech and language disorders.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and alternative communication methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and caregivers.
- Empathy and patience to work with individuals who may have communication challenges.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of Speech Therapy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in therapy practices.

Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home speech therapy services to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities in the home setting.
- Create individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and client goals.
- Deliver therapy to improve communication and swallowing skills through customized exercises, activities, and interventions.
- Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment.
- Educate, train, and support clients, their families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies for ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools and technology to assess and enhance communication skills in the home environment.
- Stay up-to-date with research and advancements in the field of Speech Therapy through continuous professional development.
- Adhere to industry standards, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements relevant to in-home healthcare and Speech Therapy.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of assessment, treatment, and progress reports.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
