Responsibilities

At Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, we are helping to create brighter, healthier futures for our patients and their families. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community. Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This opportunity is for full-time (36 hours per week) Registered Nurse (RN). The position offers full benefits and a convenient schedule of two weekdays 7pm - 7am plus every other Saturday & Sunday 7pm - 7am.

This position also qualifies for a $8,000 sign-on bonus.

$8k bonus : $1,000 paid after 90-days, $1,000 paid after 6-months, $2,000 paid after one year, $2,000 paid after 18-months, and $2,000 paid after 2 years.

Job Duties :

• Nurse / Patient Relationship : Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Nursing Process : Demonstrates the use of nursing process as a problem-solving model. Demonstrates a mastery of clinical skills related to patient's mental health and physical health needs.
• Assuring / Improving Quality Care : Facilitates the patient and family's right to receive safe, quality, and cost effective care. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information.
• Patient / Staff Education : Demonstrates a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients and families. Utilizes appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient outcomes. Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers and colleagues.
• Collaboration / Professional Development : Demonstrates respect and understanding for peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient care team to formulate an integrated approach to care.
