Were looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with 7–12 years of consulting engineering experience to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This hybrid role requires working in the office four (4) days per week , with one remote day. You'll work on complex and impactful projects across industrial, healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors while contributing to innovative electrical design solutions and team growth.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare electrical and lighting plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
Design power distribution systems, including medium-voltage, generation, and protection systems
Perform electrical modeling and analysis using SKM, ETAP, or similar software
Coordinate electrical designs with architects, contractors, and internal engineering disciplines
Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and other applicable codes
Support project delivery through site visits and construction coordination
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing
Support business development and marketing initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
Minimum 7 years of professional electrical engineering experience
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
Strong experience in power-focused electrical design for industrial, healthcare, higher education, and / or commercial projects
Proficiency with electrical modeling software (SKM, ETAP, or equivalent)
Solid knowledge of electrical and energy codes and standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits
Preferred Qualifications
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with local contractors, architects, and construction practices
Lighting design experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and coordinate across disciplines
