  • Guaranteed Hours : 30 per week
  • Expected Hours : 36 per week
  • Shift : Monday – Friday, Days (12-hour shifts, exact hours to be confirmed)
  • Shift Duration : 12 Hour Days

    • COTA Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Maryland occupational therapy assistant license or eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience required
  • Experience with occupational therapy group sessions preferred
  • Proficient documentation skills in hospital-based EMR systems
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
  • Strong flexibility, time management, and communication skills
  • Dedication to exceptional patient-centered care

    • Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy services based on individualized treatment plans
  • Focus on morning ADLs, 1 : 1 patient treatment, and group therapy facilitation
  • Document patient care in web-based EMR systems
  • Meet clinical, departmental, and regulatory productivity standards (65% - 75% daily)
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation for all patient interactions
  • Educate patients and families on occupational therapy goals and progress
  • Collaborate within a positive healthcare team environment
