Sales Engineer
LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This position will sell HVAC units and mechanical equipment, driving the business unit forward by working with customers to find optimal HVAC solutions for commercial construction projects in a timely, profitable, and responsive manner. This position is commission based and will require skills and drive to increase and maintain sales success. Compensation range is $55,670 - $94,201 for the first six months, followed by 100% commission with draw.

Essential duties and responsibilities include managing and growing assigned territory or group of accounts, achieving booking and gross margin goals, developing and implementing plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities, performing needs assessments and developing sales proposals, explaining and demonstrating the technical aspects of products and services, following through on sold projects, assisting in resolving installation, collections, and other customer satisfaction issues, and preparing accurate and thorough sales activity reports.
Qualifications include three or more years of sales-related work experience, moderate related technical and financial expertise, and knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures. Preferred qualifications include credentials such as LEED GA / AP, CEM, FE, or PE, and ASHRAE association.
Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods, lifting, bending, and kneeling, and this position may require climbing ladders and the ability to function at heights. The environment includes inside and outside work, and hazards include high precarious places, general construction worksite hazards, and possible driving in inclement weather conditions.
