Sr. CMM Programmer – Aerospace Manufacturing

Location : Buffalo, NY (Onsite)

Type : Full-Time

Salary Range : Up to $47 / hr + annual profit sharing + full benefits

About the Opportunity

Our client, a global leader in aerospace manufacturing, is seeking a Senior CMM Programmer to join its Industrial Group in East Aurora, NY . This position is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Zeiss Calypso CMM systems to ensure precision and quality across high-complexity aerospace components and assemblies.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) , exceptional problem-solving ability, and a leadership mindset to guide inspection strategy and team development. What You’ll Do

• Program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to inspect aerospace parts and assemblies
• Plan, develop, and proof CMM inspection programs for complex geometries
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to ensure precise dimensional reporting
• Lead and mentor the site’s CMM programming group, planning workload and training quality personnel
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot programs, and resolve measurement issues
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to enhance product quality and inspection methods
• Maintain CMM calibration and equipment performance per manufacturer standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-effective measurement systems
