Manager – Software Engineering

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage a team of back-end developers that work on all server-side aspects of smart home security. Our mandate is very broad and includes but not limited to processing security events, monitoring station signaling, testing-automation and integrating a wide and diverse set of devices with the Alarm.com connected ecosystem. This role works in domains with a strong focus on reliability and uptime. Our software development includes working on backend services, websites, and database design that make-up our whole ecosystem.

You will have the opportunity to manage projects that span a variety of technical areas while also managing a team of 5-7 software engineers, provide technical mentorship to the developers on your team, deliver projects, set project timelines, and generate work for your team. Typical projects will involve diverse technologies. You'll have the opportunity to work across various technical areas using the latest technologies while using Agile development methods. Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to self-learn are must-have attributes. You will be collaborating with stake holders across multiple offices, strong communication skills a must.

The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.

Base Salary Range

$160,000—$190,000 USD
