We're seeking a CMT Lab Manager for our next reservoir project near Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Sunrise, Plantation, Hollywood, Westin). One of the landmark projects - one of the largest in Florida, if not the entire nation. Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Manage and maintain the laboratory facility to ensure a safe, productive environment.
- Maintain and ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated.
- Maintain satisfactory Lab Qualifications and audits through FDOT.
- Manage internal documentation and procedures and perform during the accreditation and certification process.
- Ensure that testing results are reported within specification-dictated timelines and communicated internally throughout the testing process.
- Plan, recruit, and provide recommendations for laboratory staff.
- Coordinate and facilitate proper training for lab and field personnel.
- Directly supervise and perform laboratory activities and testing procedures.
- Ensure that laboratory processes and personnel adhere to the requirements of the MC2 Quality Management Program and guidelines set forth by AASHTO and ASTM
- Work with the Department Managers to ensure proper lab resources are in place to meet project needs.
- Heavy lifting may be part of the day-to-day job (50 lb)
- Assist in updating SOP (standard operating procedures) and QMS (quality management systems).
- Assist in Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) duties.
Minimum Qualifications - 15+ years' experience in the establishment, operation and supervision of a large construction laboratory facility.
- Ability to communicate and interact respectfully and professionally with verbal and written communication.
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
- ACI Lab Certifications
- CTQP Lab Certifications
