Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team, working under the direction of the Service Manager. This role involves performing service and repair work on truck-mounted vacuum equipment both in-shop and occasionally in the field. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills in electrical and hydraulic systems and be capable of completing preventative maintenance on vehicle chassis components such as fluids, fuels, and lubrication.

Key Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Read and interpret schematics for electrical and hydraulic systems
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections on equipment systems
• Conduct and document “check-in” and “check-out” inspections on fleet equipment
• Ensure all repairs comply with DOT and OEM standards to return equipment to “Ready to Rent” status
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to company standards
• Accurately complete all required documentation of work performed
