Sterile Processing Coordinator - FT - Days - MHW Same Day Surgery Center

Summary :

Coordinates activities and flow of work for the Sterile Processing and Distribution area.

• 5 days per week; no weekends at this time

SPD experience preferred

Responsibilities :

Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, and systems / performance measures.Serves as a resource to staff regarding departmental / area policies, procedures and services regarding decontamination and processing of medical products.Prioritizes multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion. Delegates and assigns work commensurate with knowledge, skill and experience, and ensures the work is performed appropriately.

Education and Certification Requirements :

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Complexity of Work : Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
