Yazaki is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our Honda team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.
The ideal candidate will support the Program Manager in meeting established program targets and deliverables and successfully completing program objectives. Programs can typically consist of a number of products, special projects, parts, and customer engineering centers, global product development locations and different technology suites.
What you will be doing :
- May interact with the customer on specific program-related information concerning Manufacturing, Design and Quality
- Communicate to and coordinate with Manufacturing customer specific requirements
- Maintain a working knowledge of customer carlines, Yazaki-supplied parts and Manufacturing / Quality processes
- Coordinate YPMS task list with the program team
- Implement and support continuous improvement activities
- Support long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and priorities
- Support other projects, tasks, and / or duties as assigned
May support the Program Manager in the following activities
Launch Readiness / Process Sign Off (PSO)Ensure all tasks are performed for launch readiness and PSO
Coordinate all customer visits to the manufacturing facilitiesAssist in supplying requirements to ManufacturingApprove all resolutions to the follow-up issues that are presented to the customerCustomer ContactCoordinate and lead for all customer-critical issues while individual departments handle day to day issues
Review program metrics and satisfaction levels recurrently with the customerProgram ScopeCoordinate, lead, and initiate the approval of program scope changes
Report the management of activities to executive managementScheduling and TrackingCoordinate, lead, and approve the program schedule and tracking process to ensure the program meets the scope and customer requirements, to meet overall program metrics
Review program timing and progress toward achievement of targets and goalsCoordinate and lead the critical build phases, while approving support activities to ensure successful delivery of the programPrepare regular reports for presentation to executive management, which address program progress statusMeeting MinutesSchedule program coordination meetings regularly
Lead the cross-functional program coordination meetingReview the meeting minutes to ensure timely completion of all tasks"Prime" the meeting minutes / open issues / corrective actions system by entering initial program information into the system.Open IssuesReview and assign newly entered open issues
Update issues in central tracking systemReview issue statuses between program meetingsApprove all closed issuesClassify and archive closed and approved issues for continuous improvementReview open issues database for continuous improvementAddress any scope, schedule, and budget changes to the program brought on by open issuesEngineering Change : Review and coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and eventual Process Change Request (PCR) and communicate and coordinate changes with the customer, affiliate and team members.What you will bring to the table :
