JOB TITLE : Developer / Programmer Analyst 3

CAYUSE COMPANY : Cayuse Civil Services, LLC

LOCATION : Austin, TX

SALARY : $91,374.40-$130,520.00

Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

The Work

The Developer / Programmer Analyst 3 is a technical professional responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining complex software applications and systems. This role involves performing advanced analysis of user needs and requirements to create efficient software solutions that align with organizational objectives. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, quality assurance personnel, and end-users, to ensure system functionality, performance, and scalability meet organizational and user requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.
  • Evaluates user requests for new or modified programs, such as for financial or human resource management systems, clinical research trial results, statistical study of traffic patterns, or analyzing and developing specifications for bridge design, to determine feasibility, cost, and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities.
  • Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop programs, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Heres What You Need

  • 8 years experience with analysis and development experience in complete software development life cycle, including designing, developing, testing, integrating and deploying applications.
  • 8 years experience in SQL programming and object-oriented analysis and design. Experience with Java and J2EE technologies, and internationally with relational databases.
  • 8 years experience with Web Services, RAD, and WebSphere. Ability to create, read, and understand Oracle based procedures or a relational database application.
  • 8 years experience with system integration testing to apply knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.
  • 8 years experience facilitating interpersonal interactions involving design, development, testing, peer reviews, and implementation activities including developers, business analysts, development and QA teams while ensuring that system requirements are documented.
  • 8 years experience developing test plans, test scenarios, test processes and schedules. Experience designing and coordinating defect reporting and validating defect fixes.
  • 8 years of understanding of data structures, data migration / conversion / transformation and concepts of both relational and multi-dimensional database design.
  • 8 years of evaluating user requests for new or modified program analyzing and developing specifications to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities.
  • 8 years of experience consulting with user to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • 8 years of experience formulating plan outlining steps required to develop program, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

    Working Conditions

  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
  • Travel costs, per diem, and other related expenses must be pre-approved in compliance with State of Texas travel guidelines.
