Main tasks include:

Pharmacist

Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Staff Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patients’ drug therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy

In conjunction with Director, responsible for the operational management and strategic planning of the Pharmacy Department. Has /7 accountability and responsibility for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree in Pharmacy
• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) preferred
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
• Knowledgeable of and complies with laws, rules and regulations that govern the practice of pharmacy.
• Pyxis experience with knowledge of Pyxis Reports (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)
• Some travel, to follow-up with Corporate, Financial, GPO, Compliance and Pyxis issues.
