Title : Area Maintenance Technician

Reports To : Eagan

Status : Full-Time, Non - Exempt

Compensation : $21.00 - $23.50 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and certifications

Position Summary & Primary Responsibilities :

The Area Maintenance Technician is responsible for proactively maintaining and repairing all areas of the apartment communities with a strong emphasis on customer service. This position has accountability for ensuring all needed repairs are completed in an efficient, timely, and thorough manner, performing preventative maintenance, and providing excellent customer service. In addition, this position is responsible for the following :

• Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner, including the hands-on work of all building repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of the asset
• Maintain exterior grounds, including picking up trash and keeping common areas neat, sweeping sidewalks and curbs, watering trees, shrubs and flowerbeds, and snow removal and salting / sanding walkways
• Assisting Maintenance Ambassador in prioritizing all work orders
• Assisting Maintenance Ambassador in scheduling all maintenance for buildings and building equipment
• Ensuring timely and thorough completion of preparing vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, carpet shampooing, and repairs
• Assisting Maintenance Ambassador in maintaining sufficient maintenance supplies
• Performing emergency repairs after hours according to the On-call Maintenance Schedule
• Reporting any and all maintenance and safety concerns to the Maintenance Ambassador in a timely manner
• Utilizing technology to track work performed, including records of any follow-up or additional resources needed
• Other duties as assigned
