Certifications : BLS, NRP, NBRC

Must-Have :

Proficiency in medicated aerosol therapy including small volume nebulizers, breath actuated nebulizers, and vibrating mesh nebulizers.

Familiarity with patient education for aerosol, MDI, and DPI therapy including DPI, MDI, and holding chamber use.

Experience with pentamidine administration and medication administration systems.

Skilled in airway clearance therapy techniques, including clapping, vibration, and directed cough as well as PEP and oscillatory PEP.

Knowledge of hyperinflation therapy and high frequency chest wall oscillation.

Capability in intubation and blood gas analysis and interpretation.

Competent in humidity therapy techniques using various devices such as aerosol masks and trach collars.

Understanding of clinical practice guidelines related to asthma care, CF care, and RDS management.

Experience monitoring using pulse oximetry, capnography, and ventilator graphic interpretation.

Ability to assist in high-risk delivery scenarios and transport patients using specialized equipment.

Description :

RCP will be proficient in medicated aerosol therapy methods.

RCP will conduct patient education for aerosol, MDI, and DPI therapy.

RCP will perform airway clearance therapy techniques as needed.

RCP will manage airway, including suctioning and manual ventilation.

RCP will administer medications and therapies under clinical guidelines.

RCP will perform blood gas sampling and analysis.

RCP will monitor patients and interpret various data points.

RCP will assist in transporting patients with various respiratory needs.

RCP will interface with interdisciplinary teams including attending providers and nurses.
