Monitor Student Learning in an After School Program Environment
Monitor and mentor student learning activities daily.Assist with class registration creation of college applications ect.Develop lesson plans and establish clear objectives for each day.Submit lesson plans to Teaching Fellows ensuring target standards are met.Provide individual and group tutoring.Prepare reports to track student progress and accomplishments.Enforce behavioral rules and procedures to maintain order.Observe and evaluate student performance and behavior.Ensure equipment and materials are used properly.Communication & Safety
Foster good communication with fellow tutors teachers and with the California Teaching Fellows Foundation.Collaborate with other tutors on lesson planning and program goals.Ensure student safety and supervise all of their activities.Follow emergency procedures set forth by Teaching Fellows and / or school districts.Report any incidents promptly to the site lead school administration or local authorities.Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Attend monthly staff meetings (Teaching Fellow Academies) once a month and training as scheduledOffer opinions and suggestions on program decisions.Adhere to any directives given by site lead assistant site lead or liaisonQualifications
18 years old or olderAuthorization to work in the United StatesHave obtained a high school diploma or GED equivalentCompletion of 48 college units or passage of an approved exam if applicable to meet the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements.Proficiency in the English language including spelling grammar and composition; ability to speak multiple languages is recognized as beneficial but not required.Willingness to undergo background checks and Tuberculosis exam.Preferred :
