Description

T he Line Mechanic I is responsible for safely troubleshooting and repairing production equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.

Responsibilities :

• Safely troubleshoot and repair a production line efficiently and effectively in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) food / employee safety requirements and guidelines to ensure daily production goals are achieved
• Effectively prioritize equipment issues in order of importance manage downtime and communicate issues to peers and leadership
• Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions
• Complete change overs for assigned equipment and / or production line
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned production equipment
• Learn and maintain customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
• Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations requirements or specifications
• Accurately complete all quality traceability and production paperwork
• Reports any product deficiencies food or safety concerns to supervisor
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and ensures all tools are accounted for
• Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
• Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment tools and person; reports any injury accident or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
• Support and comply with GMPs; understand and follow emergency action plan
• Support food safety quality and legality
• Ensure the operation is providing food-safe quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned
