Job Title : Controls Engineer
Location : North Haven, CT (Onsite)
Duration : 12 months on W2
Overview :
We are looking for a Controls Engineer to support automated manufacturing lines for Class II / III medical devices. The role focuses on PLC programming, motion control, vision systems, and validation in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) PLC, motion, and HMI programs
- Design and support vision systems (Cognex / Keyence) for inspection and quality checks
- Perform IQ / OQ / PQ validation per FDA and ISO 13485 requirements
- Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and cycle time
- Support root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, validation, and engineering teams
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, or related field5+ years of controls engineering experienceStrong experience with Rockwell PLCs, Motion Control, and HMIHands-on experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systemsExperience with IQ / OQ / PQ validation in regulated environmentsMedical device or pharma experience
