Summary of Position This position requires demonstrated knowledge in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field to teach undergraduate-level computer science and information technology courses. Instructors are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that supports student learning, engagement and success in alignment with the college's mission for workforce preparation. Courses are offered in a face-to-face format.
Adjunct faculty are paid per course or per credit hour in accordance with the college's adjunct salary schedule Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required, Masters degree preferred
AND the following is required:
Wage-earning work experience related to the competencies or learning outcomes of various CTC Computer Science courses. Must have Industry experience in computer science or information technology exclusive of teaching. Prior teaching experience at the community college or undergraduate level is preferred.
Must have proficiency and be qualified in one of the areas below: - Programming skills and use of Visual Studio .NET, Visual Basic, HTML and CSS, C++, C#, and JAVA Information Technology Security to include cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and IT security auditing.
- Network/Systems Administration to include server and client implementation and maintenance and server cloud services
Knowledge Skills and Ability- Must possess a demonstrated knowledge in the subject matter being taught and the ability to communicate with students in a clear manner and to author tests and lesson plans.
- Demonstrated written and oral communications skills and extensive Internet skills
- Strong subject-matter expertise in computer science concepts and applications
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for diverse student populations
- Ability to explain technical concepts to students with varying levels of experience
- Use the college's Learning Management System (LMS) and instructional technologies effectively
- Ability to explain technical concepts to students with varying levels of experience
Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following is required.

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
- Adhere to college policies, academic standards, and deadlines
- Perform other duties assigned
